A note from Pastor Trevor:

We have set aside Wednesday, April 2, to join together in prayer and fasting as we continue Lent and prepare for Holy Week. Fasting is not only a personal practice, but a communal one as well (like in Joel 2:12 or Acts 13:2-4), and the act of all joining together to fast and pray is a spiritually powerful one (as Jesus says in Matthew 17:20-21). When we fast, we are often more aware of Jesus' presence with us. When we fast together, we are often more aware of our connection to Jesus' body, the church.

I encourage you to fast from 1-3 meals on Wednesday (or if not able physically to fast from food, to fast from something else) and spend the time interceding for the church and the world. That could include a prayer walk in your neighborhood. When you experience hunger, let it bring your mind back to the Lord and prayer.

7:00pm Ministry Space as we gather for worship, prayer, to hear a brief message from the Bible from Abby Arnold, and to break our fast with Communion.

If it is helpful, you can use our day of prayer and fasting prayer guide (attached or online here) as a place to begin.

"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." — Hebrews 4:16

Peace,
Father Trevor
