What Are Sundays Like?

A few things you’ll notice about our church family & worship on Sunday mornings:

Welcome
No matter where or what you’re coming from, what kind of job you have, what language you speak, what you’re wearing, if you have some or no church background—we love welcoming visitors.
Old & New
Our service has a bit of everything—old prayers, reading & teaching from the Bible, vibrant worship in English & Spanish, & Communion.
Diversity
Our congregation is made up of different ages, cultures, jobs, countries, church & religious backgrounds. We want everyone to have a place and a part to play.

Common Questions

Absolutely. Everything we do is founded on Jesus' saving grace for us and the hope that he's given us to live our lives in the love of a good God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You can read more about who we are here and what we believe here.

Yes! Every week we sing and read in both languages. While most of our service is in English, there are Spanish elements, and all of our Bible readings & prayers are in both languages.

A great question. Here's the thing—you can't mess it up. We're all learning together. The pastor leading the service will walk you through everything that's happening.

Our Sunday City Kids ministry is for kids ages infant-5th grade. Kids worship, learn, and sing with our awesome shepherds for the first half of the service, then join their families for Communion. We have a lot of kids at City of Light, and we see children as full members of the family of God.
