City of Light Church requires all Sunday morning City Kids volunteers 18 and older, staff, and clergy to complete the following safety requirements:
—Minimum 6 months regular attendance
—Background check, application, and references
—Abuse awareness and prevention training
Additionally, City of Light maintains the "Rule of 3." There must always be at least two non-related adult volunteers present in each City Kids worship room.
Safeguarding Team: An advisory team of the Parish Council established by this policy as a place to report any abuse, suspicion of abuse or potential misconduct by a City of Light Leader. This team consists of the Senior Warden and two acting members of the council. The team must include both men and women.
We want to protect the vulnerable & minister with integrity. If you have a concern regarding any form of misconduct in one of our diocesan churches, please report your concern. If you see something, please say something. You may make a report to our independent Intake Officer.
